DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create test plans under the guidance of senior colleagues, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of materials testing processes that meet the customer's needs.
· Perform materials testing using established procedures and techniques to ensure product quality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
· Write detailed technical reports based on materials testing results, outlining findings and recommendations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure materials meet the necessary specifications and performance requirements.
· Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve materials-related issues.
· Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, results, and analyses, and present findings to stakeholders.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of proposed engineering solutions
· Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and address them using established change management programs.
· Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities, using established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver results.
REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field; or, minimum 1 year of professional experience in materials engineering, with a focus on materials testing
· Strong understanding of materials properties, characterization techniques, and processing methods.
· Proficient in the use of office productivity software, such as word processing and spreadsheets, for effective data management and presentation.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
· Ability to lift parts up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
